Vogue Arabia announced on October 8, 2026 that its inaugural Vogue Arabia Ball will take place on November 13 at the Forum Ballroom in Delano Dubai on Bluewaters. The invitation-only event will gather figures from fashion, art, entertainment and culture for an evening built around the theme of art through the female gaze. The publication reported that the ball will feature immersive installations inspired by the work of collaborating Emirati artists Shaikha Al Mazrou and Dhabia Al Qubaisi, alongside an art-focused red carpet, curated dinner and live entertainment.

Shaikha Al Mazrou is recognised for sculptural works that examine form, material, colour and space while Dhabia Al Qubaisi explores memory, presence and lived experience through painting, mixed media and textiles, according to Vogue Arabia. The evening will also reveal the winner of the Creators of Craft Design Challenge, a regional project developed by Vogue Arabia with IQOS and Italian design house Seletti. The magazine stated that initiatives linked to education and new talent will extend the ball’s impact beyond the single night.

Vogue Arabia outlined a busy calendar of exhibitions forming the region’s art and culture agenda this season. Zawyeh Gallery opened Palestinian artist Bashar Khalaf’s solo exhibition “The Field of Dreams” on September 19 at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai, where his oil paintings depict industrial objects as symbols of individual relationships to systems of power. Jameel Arts Centre is set to open Sudanese artist Salah Elmur’s show “Just as the Heart of a Mango is a Stone” on October 31, running through March 14, 2027 and highlighting works produced since 2018 that reference his upbringing near the Blue Nile.

Additional programming includes exhibitions at venues across the UAE and internationally that underscore ongoing interest in Arab art, Vogue Arabia reported. An Observer article citing ArtTactic data indicated that total auction sales for MENA artists rose 9.4 percent to $33.2 million in 2025. The Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report placed overall global art sales at $59.6 billion in 2025 after a 4 percent increase from the previous year.

The ball is positioned as a new cultural celebration that brings fashion and art together to foster belonging, pride and optimism amid the UAE’s current creative momentum, according to the publication. Related coverage by Vogue Arabia revisited pioneering Arab artists who have addressed themes of memory, place and identity in their practices. The magazine noted that such events and exhibitions reflect the diversity of approaches spanning generations and geographies in contemporary Arab art.

Vogue Arabia further detailed that the dress code for the ball encourages sculptural silhouettes, painterly colours and intricate craftsmanship that elevate fashion to gallery-worthy levels. The event will incorporate a commissioned sculpture by Shaikha Al Mazrou titled “Assimilation in Blue,” created in partnership with Piaget, as a central element of the immersive dinner experience. Organisers have emphasised that art will be integrated throughout the evening rather than limited to decorative elements.
