The exhibition occupies the Carnegie Gallery at 65 South Main Street in Rochester, New Hampshire, where the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts regularly presents rotating displays drawn from its holdings and regional artists. Stacey Durand maintains a dual role as a painter and the gallery manager at the Lamont Gallery of Phillips Exeter Academy, a position that has shaped her involvement in the local arts scene. The museum’s visitor information notes that all library exhibitions remain free and open to the public during operating hours, which extend to 8 p.m. on weekdays early in the week.

Rochester Museum of Fine Arts records list the show among several upcoming presentations at the library through early 2027, including a December opening for John M. Andrews’ series of works in the same gallery space. The institution’s broader schedule features parallel exhibitions at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, allowing different artists to engage separate community venues. A museum overview places more than 200 contemporary paintings, sculptures, photographs and works on paper in the permanent collection distributed throughout the library building.

MutualArt documentation shows that Durand previously participated in two editions of the “Hidden Treasures” group exhibition at the Lamont Gallery, one in November 2019 and another in March 2024. Her website announced plans for nine new pieces in the Enormous Tiny Art Show at Nahcotta Gallery in Portsmouth earlier this year, with the reception held in April. A Creative Guts podcast profile described how her paintings capture the quiet charm of New England neighborhoods and landscapes.

The Carnegie Gallery forms one component of the Rochester Public Library’s integration with the museum’s programming, which uses the public facility to increase access beyond the main Bernier Room exhibitions. Labels on each displayed work carry identification numbers that link to further details through the museum’s mobile application or online resources. Library staff maintain the display spaces as part of an ongoing partnership that dates back several years.

Durand’s selection for the fall slot continues a pattern in which the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts highlights artists with strong ties to New Hampshire educational and cultural institutions. The current calendar at the community center includes a solo show by Richard Yu-Tang Lee that opened in May and runs concurrently with the library presentations. Public attendance at these venues has supported the museum’s efforts to broaden engagement with contemporary art across the region.
