Bollywood actress and author Twinkle Khanna attended an event connected to luxury jewellery brand Bulgari’s first global Diwali campaign at Jaipur’s City Palace and the Jaipur Centre for Art. According to Bhaskar English, the two-day program centered on ways to present Indian art, culture and traditions in a modern context while preserving their core significance. Khanna took part in a panel discussion, joined other speakers on stage and interacted directly with the audience. She departed for Mumbai on Monday after the conclusion of the visit.

The campaign, titled ‘Passing the Light,’ was created in collaboration with Indian artist Doyel Joshi. Bhaskar English reported that it aims to spotlight the symbolic importance of light in Indian culture alongside artistic heritage. Organizers held a special presentation tied to the initiative as part of the broader program in the Rajasthan capital. The effort marks Bulgari’s initial global push tied to the festival.

Khanna shared her perspectives on Indian art and traditions during the panel ahead of the campaign launch. She stated that such elements should be presented with proper understanding and respect. The discussion also explored how India could improve its international showcasing of cultural heritage while addressing the role of traditions in personal and national identity.

Businessman and author Suhel Seth attended the event alongside Khanna, adding to the conversations on cultural representation. The gathering reflects increasing engagement by luxury brands in Indian festivals through partnerships that blend contemporary design with traditional motifs. Such efforts have grown more common as brands seek authentic connections to seasonal celebrations.

A report from 360 ONE placed India’s secondary art market turnover at a decade-high 2,543 crore rupees in 2025, more than tripling from 792 crore rupees in 2015. The document recorded an 80 percent sell-through rate with 4,057 of 5,059 offered lots finding buyers. Paintings accounted for the dominant share of both volume and value in the auction data, according to the collector guide.

Calendar sources such as KalaCalendar and Drik Panchang indicate Diwali falls on November 8 this year. The mid-October timing of the Jaipur event allows brands to generate early interest ahead of the festival of lights. Bhaskar English noted that the Bulgari initiative fits within this framework by emphasizing light as a central theme through its artistic collaboration.
